Food Bank

Humanity First (AMC's non-profit charity) believes that food and nutritional security is a basic human right. With a vision to make America hunger-free, Humanity First USA's Food Security program seeks to reduce hunger and food waste, provide food to our communities, and raise awareness in the USA.
Food insecurity is the absence of adequate resources to maintain a consistent, nourishing diet. The United States Department of Agriculture defines food insecurity as “a household-level economic and social condition of limited or uncertain access to adequate food.” Hunger among Americans is real. According to USDA, 33.8 million people in the United States, including 9 million children, are battling hunger and feeling food insecure.
Our Approach
Food Security in the USA
Humanity First USA is working to ensure no one goes hungry by fighting food insecurity at home and abroad. In the USA, our food security program has reduced hunger and food wastage, raised awareness and provided meals through pantries and serving events in locations across the country.
- Establishing & supporting food pantries
- Organizing food drives
- Operating soup kitchens
- Advocating for healthy eating and food conservation
- Partnering with other organizations who share a common vision to make America hunger-free.
In addition to regular operations, we distribute emergency food rations to people affected by natural disasters.
National Awareness Campaign
Humanity First raises awareness about hunger in America and raises funds to combat hunger. We connect with America’s Muslim community during observances like Ramadan, a fasting holiday, during which people experience firsthand the hunger our fellow Americans face.
We host events with state and local governments like “National Donate a Lunch Day”, encouraging people to donate the cost of their lunch. People from all walks of life pledge to fast for a day and donate their food money to fight hunger.
